NYC 2 Durham --Wow how life has changed! Confederate flags seen waving occasionally but overall its good livin" Dont go to the State fair though... Southern racism is Shown proudly, Its so Not Cool. I have an interracial family, my husband, by Common law, is Black, so our gorgeous children are Black and Italian and Ukranian.
I resisted but now living down here for 9 years I adopted y'all. It makes sense. You All=Y'all. Living in NY, I guess I use to say, You guys, no matter the gender of the group.
In the south your Money your money is stretched sooo far. I worked in Harlem right before moving to the "triangle". Lived in an apartment in Jersey City, Still Love JC... roughly 1100 sqft. Now have a house by a lake for less than the apartment. I do drive everywhere :( I so want to turn one of these houses by me into a cafe!! Life would be extra grand.
